Terrence Charles Boothe, the founder of TCB Evangelistic Impact Ministry, demonstrates a keen awareness of people's needs by providing practical and biblical truths to guide them in their everyday lives. Modeling his ministry after the Apostle Paul's message to the Ephesians, he says, "Life is worth nothing unless I use it to do the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus-- the work of telling others the good news about God's mighty kindness and love."
Boothe's
earliest childhood memories are of God's comforting presence while struggling to survive in an urban jungle. In his low-income neighborhood, alcohol and drug abuse were common, fathers were absent, and violence rampant. Through the godly example of his mother and the grace of God, Terrence came to trust Christ and obey God's Word at a young age. In his heart, he treasured the story of his birth, when the nurse held him up and said, "Mother, you have a boy. Please give him the name Charles, because he is going to become something in this country."
At
the age of fourteen, Boothe received the clear call of God
on his life, but beset by the cares of the world, he ignored
that call. And yet God never left him, and in fact, gave him
a vision one day. "I had a vision that I was in Jamaica in a very long hallway. There were many skeletons, which looked like human bodies, lying on the floor. There was an eagle flying in front of me, calling me. I said to the eagle, ‘These are people and they are moving. I don't want to step on them.’ The eagle said, ‘Step on them!” I tried not to step on them, but there was no space for me to put my feet. I continued trying to walk toward the eagle, but every step I took, I had to balance myself to keep from falling, and each time I did, the eagle would fly back a bit. Then God spoke to me and said, ‘This is my church. I want you to build me a church!’” After that time, Boothe's life was never the same.
Boothe
loves the Lord and His Word. He has compassion for people and
a tremendous burden for the Island of Jamaica. His confidence is fixed on God's Word, and he lives to glorify and serve the Lord, believing with all his heart that the cross is the wisdom of God and the answer for the needs of all mankind. His passion is also for the Church, the Body of Christ, believing that the Church is the only organization on the face of the earth that offers insight into what takes place in heaven. Boothe's heart and desire are that the Church, Christ's pearl of great price, take its rightful place, proclaiming His death and resurrection until He comes.
